Letter from the President

November 1, 2023

Dear Chamber Member:

First, let me say how much we appreciate you and your business being a member of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce. It is the mission of the Chamber to promote, develop, and enhance community businesses and organizations. We operate with a Board of Directors, including four officers, and an Executive Director. We also provide multiple committees to oversee the various events and activities. All members and their employees are encouraged to join and attend meetings in order to participate more fully in the Chamber.

The Chamber is here to work for and with you to advance your business as part of the expanding business community of our area. We are committed to advancing the general business climate, serving as an advocate for local businesses, and offering networking opportunities, as well as providing social events. We are constantly working to add benefits for our members. It is our hope that you have experienced the benefits of membership.

2023 has been a busy year as we conducted multiple ribbon cuttings, our Annual Dinner Meeting, the Champ Clark Heritage Festival, the Fix the Freezer Raffle, and our monthly member meetings. We awarded the annual Beautification Grant, which is a $500 grant to a local business to help in a specific beautification project. We also awarded the annual Scholarship to a deserving graduate.

Monthly member meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at noon in the Visitor Center. During our monthly meetings, in addition to our speaker, we have a round table time to allow each member to introduction themselves and their business. During that time, members share what is happening in their business, including events, employment opportunities, and general information about the business.

It is now time to renew your Chamber membership for another year. I encourage you to renew your membership and remain part of the more than 130 members of the Chamber working together for the benefit of the Bowling Green business community. You may renew your membership online or by using the enclosed form.

Finally, don’t forget to register to attend our Annual Dinner Meeting being held Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the Pike County Fairgrounds. More information is available on our website or Facebook page.

We look forward to continuing to work with you for the good of your business and the other Bowling Green, Missouri area businesses. Check out our website, www.bgchamber.org, and our Facebook page, Bowling Green, MO Chamber of Commerce.
